Real growth in technology is not from people but machines, says Applied Materials CEO

“Humans a while ago stopped being the major generators of data,” points out Gary Dickerson, chief executive of chip equipment vendor Applied Materials. 

Rather, it is the rise of the machines, and the sensor networks comprising the Internet of Things, that are creating masses of volumes of data that require ever more chips to process, says Dickerson.

“And everything is getting smarter in our world — eyes and ears that are deployed, smart sensors that are deployed” at the edge of networks.

Dodge CEO: Muscle Cars Soon to Be Powered by Electric Vehicle Technology

Tim Kuniskis, the CEO of Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) unit Dodge, recently remarked that muscle cars will get their muscle from electric vehicle (EV) technology before long.

That’s surprising because many consider Kuniskis to be Mr. Muscle Car, at least relative to other car industry executives. In the 2010s, he was instrumental in carving out a modern-day niche for a style that had seemingly vanished for good decades ago.

Then and now, muscle cars get their power from large internal combustion engines. One current example is the company’s Hellcat variants, which run on supercharged engines that produce over 700 horsepower.

Dominion’s CEO says the voting technology company is going to sue Sidney Powell for defamation and is considering a lawsuit against Trump

  • Dominion CEO John Poulos told Axios it is preparing an “imminent” defamation lawsuit against Sidney Powell for her false election conspiracy theories about the voting technology company.
